Argentina population in 1960 is 20,481,781, by 1970 the population is increased by 3,398,783 totaling to 23,880,564, by 1980 the population is increased to 27,896,532, and by 1990 the total increase of 32,618,648 in 30 years from 1960 to 1990 resulting to 32,618,648. Córdoba city is the north-west of Buenos Aires, is the second most populous city of Argentina with 1.6 million, Rosario is the largest city of Santa Fe province, which is the Argentina's third largest city with about 1.5 million, and the principal Santa Fe city having half a million, Mendoza is the fourth largest with 1.1 million inhabitants. Tucumán and Salta has about above six hundred thousand inhabitants. San Fernando, Confluencia and Corrientes has about above four hundred thousand, and Paraná, Posadas, General Roca are between three-hundred to four-hundred thousand people.
Argentina is subdivided into twenty-three provinces, and one autonomous city, Buenos Aires, which is the capital and largest city of the country. Buenos Aires province is the most populated province in Argentina with 17.8 million in 2021, followed by Córdoba with 3.8 million, Santa Fe with 3.5 million, Mendoza with 2 million, Tucumán with 1.7 million, Salta with 1.45 million, Entre Ríos with 1.41 million and Entre Ríos with 1.2 million. The largest Argentina province by area is Buenos Aires with 307,571 sq km, followed by Santa Cruz with 243,943 sq km and Chubut with 224,686 sq km, and the smallest province is Tierra del Fuego with 21,263 sq km.
