Belgium population in 1960 is 9,153,489, by 1970 the population is increased by 502,060 totaling to 9,655,549, by 1980 the population is increased to 9,859,242, and by 1990 the total increase of 9,967,379 in 30 years from 1960 to 1990 resulting to 9,967,379. From 1990 to 2000, population increased to 10,251,250, and from 2000 to 2010 the population of Belgium increase by 644,336 with a change of 6.29 percent and increase of population from 2010 to 2020 by 660,411 with a change of 6.06 percent and make up to 11,555,997. Belgium population in 2023 is estimated to be 11.64 million, population in 2022 is estimated to be 11.62 million, and in 2021 is estimated to be 11.6 million.

Belgium Provinces and Regions

According to statbel, Belgium is divided into three regions, the Flemish Region, Walloon Region and Brussels Capital Region, and they are subdivided into provinces. In the Flemish Region, Flemish Brabant was again the province with the highest growth in 2020, with 0.54 percent. The provinces of East Flanders (0.43 percent), Limburg (0.35 percent) and Antwerp (0.31 percent). The slowest growing province in Flanders in 2020 was West Flanders with a growth of 0.20 percent. The province of Luxembourg was the fastest growing province in Belgium in 2020 with a growth rate of 0.69 percent. In the Walloon Region, Walloon Brabant follows in position 2 (0.34 percent) and Namur in position 3 (0.25 percent). The population in the provinces of Liège and Hainaut experienced a small shrinkage of 0.07 percent in both provinces.
