Belize is a Caribbean country located on the northeastern coast of Central America, borders Mexico to the north, Caribbean Sea to the east and Guatemala to the south and west. Belize population in 2024 is estimated to be 420,116, covers country area of 22,970 sq km (8,867 sq mi), ranks one-hundred-forty-seventh country by area and the one-hundred-seventy-forth most populous country in the world. It has the lowest population and population density in Central America. Its capital is Belmopan, its most populous city is Belize City and other cities are San Ignacio, Orange Walk Town, San Pedro Town, Corozal Town, Dangriga and Benque Viejo del Carmen. Country code is BLZ, Population of Belize in 2021 is estimated as 404,894. Belize is the only English speaking country in Central America, due to its historical background and geographical location, is a part of both Central America and the Caribbean. Creole, English and Spanish being the languages most spoken in Belize.

Belize population in 1960 is 92,068, by 1970 the population is increased by 30,116 totaling to 122,184, by 1980 the population is increased to 144,142, and by 1990 the total increase of 187,554 in 30 years from 1960 to 1990 the population is doubled to 187,554. From 1990 to 2000, population increased to 247,310, and from 2000 to 2010 the population of Belize increase by 75,155 with a change of 30.39 percent and increase of population from 2010 to 2020 by 75,156 with a change of 23.31 percent and make up to 397,621. Belize population in 2023 is estimated to be 419,706, population in 2022 is estimated to be 412,166, Population of Belize in 2021 is estimated as 404,894.
Belizeans see themselves as belonging, at least in part, to the Mestizo ethnic group. The second largest ethnic group is the Creole, at 26 percent (83,460) of the population, followed by the Maya at 11.3 percent, who along with the Garifuna (6.1 percent) form the two indigenous groups in Belize.

Belize is divided into six major administrative areas or districts, Corozal in the north, Orange Walk in the north-west, Belize in the east, Cayo in the west, Stann Creek in the south-east and Toledo in the south. The Belize capital is the City of Belmopan, lies in the Cayo District.
