Saskatchewan Population 2024
Saskatchewan is a province in western Canada, borders Alberta to the west, Northwest Territories to the north, Manitoba to the east, Nunavut to the northeast, and on the south by the U.S. states of Montana and North Dakota. According to statcan, Saskatchewan population in 2024 is estimated to be 1.26 million, sixth largest populous province, covers area of 651,900 sq.km (251,700 sq mi), seventh largest by area. Nearly half of the population lives in the provincial capital Regina and other cities include Prince Albert, Moose Jaw, Yorkton, Swift Current, North Battleford, Melfort, and the border city Lloydminster which is partially located within Alberta.
According to 2016 census the population is 1,098,352, a five year increase by 64,971, compared to 2011 population census of 1,033,381. Population by age group 0 to 14 years is 215,685, 15 to 64 years is 712,240, 65 years and over is 170,425 and 85 years and over is 26,940.
