Cape Verde is an archipelago and island country in the central Atlantic Ocean, lies west of Cap-Vert, the westernmost point of continental Africa, was uninhabited until the 15th century, when Portuguese explorers discovered the islands, by establishing the European settlement. Country code is CPV, The official language of Cape Verde is Portuguese, consisting of ten volcanic islands.
