Mission Viejo population in 2024 is estimated to be 93,784, covers city area of 18.03 sq mi (46.70 sq km), ranks eighty-first largest city in California State, three-hundred-fifty-sixth city in the United States. Mission Viejo is a city in the Saddleback Valley, bordered by Lake Forest on the northwest, Rancho Santa Margarita and Ladera Ranch on the east, Trabuco Canyon on the northeast, San Juan Capistrano on the south, and Laguna Niguel and Laguna Hills on the west. Mission Viejo population as per 2020 census is 93,653 compared to 2010 population of 93,305 with the increase number of 348 people and growth of 0.4 percent.
