Georgia (U.S. state abbreviation is 'GA') is the 24th largest by area, 8th most populous and south western US state. Georgia population in 2025 is estimated to be 11.09 million, It is eight largest as per US States by population, bordered by Alabama to the west, South Carolina to the east, Florida to the south, Atlantic ocean to the southeast and Tennessee to the north. Georgia is gaining population and increased by 296,837 people since from the last census of 2020. Founded in 1733 as a British colony, Named after King George II of Great Britain, became a British royal colony in 1752. Georgia Colony covered the area from South Carolina south to Spanish Florida and west to French Louisiana. In 1788, Georgia became the fourth state to ratify the United States Constitution. It has an area of 59,425 sq miles (153,909 sq km) listed as 24th in area rank, and density is 165 people per sq miles. Atlanta is the most populous and capital city of Georgia, currently it is the most dangerous city in the us. Other cities include Columbus, Roswell. Eastman, Garden City, LaGrange, College Park and Fitzgerald are the most dangerous cities in Georgia State. The cheapest cigarette tax in the US is by the Georgia Government.

The population of Georgia in 2010 is 9.7 million, the recorded change is from 0.9 to 1.02 till 2012. By 2013 registered with 9.97 million the population decreased to 0.73% change and again started increasing to 0.96 in 2014 with 10.06 million and steadily increasing more than 1% change. As on 2018 Georgia state has 10.5 million residents with a change of 1.02 compared to 10.4 million population in 2017. According to U.S. 2020 Census Results, GA population in 2020 is 10,711,908. Georgia population in 2023 is estimated to be 11 million, population in 2022 is estimated to be 10.91 million, and in 2021 is estimated to be 10.7 million.

Black population in Georgia are 3,195,268, percentage wise 31.32 percent are blacks. African American refers to black population in Georgia, They are Black racial groups of Africa, includes Sub-Saharan African people, Kenyan, Nigerian, Caribbean such as Haitian and Jamaican.

Asian Population
